College Crime Watch

 This involves our use of Students’ leadership which is perceived as a real solution to crime, violence, and substance abuse in schools. It entails the involvement of college and university students in making their environment a safer and more hospitable place to peaceful living and learning. In partnership with community leaders, students lead initiatives specific to the needs of their environment.


Starting a Youth Movement Against Crime in Each school or community.

Our Technical Team are readily available to assist new school or community start youth-led and YMAC programs. YMAC Team have gained program experience over the years and will assist in developing and implementing each school’s or community’s activities. We offer on-site training and year round technical assistance.


Goals

  • Create a crime-free and drug-free school environment that allows for safe learning and living.
  • Instill positive values, foster good citizenship, and build self-confidence among students.
  • Enable students to become resources for preventing criminal and destructive activities both in the schools and the surrounding community.


Our Vision

To expand a youth-led movement to all areas locally and nationally involving all facets of the community in support of the altruistic motives of youth and to inspire a “watch out, help out” commitment resulting in a dramatic reduction in crime and violence.


Our Mission

To mobilize and equip a youth-led movement in schools and communities in partnership with public and private institutions; to create a safer environment free of crime, corruption, violence, and illicit drugs in order to foster good citizenship.


Our Values

YMAC holds that all youth are valued individually and collectively, and subscribes to the values of good citizenship, moral integrity, pride in ourselves and our community, self-reliance, accountability, personal responsibility, and care and respect for others. YMAC members assume proactive peer influence and a “watch out, help out” philosophy.
